In 1947, a US Army Air Forces B-29 Superfortress, dubbed the Kee Bird, crash-landed on a frozen lake in Northern Greenland. The crew was rescued, but the Air Force abandoned the aircraft and struck it from its inventory. And there it remained, untouched, for forty-seven years until a small team of aircraft recovery specialists attempted to repair the Kee Bird and bring her home. The expedition ultimately ended in failure. In this podcast, Chris and Jody examine the reasons why the team failed in oh so Monday-morning quarterback fashion. They also talk about Chevy Camaros.
